Concert in Kitchener, ON – 13 June 2014
Sepideh will perform with the legendary percussion group NEXUS in the “Open Ears Festival” on June 13th, 2014. NEXUS is the group that started it all. Dubbed the “High priests of the percussion world” by the NY Times, they have a now legendary body of work to call their own, working with luminaries from Steve Gadd to Steve Reich, Toru Takemitsu to Morton Feldman.
Dr. Russell Hartenberger, professor at the University of Toronto and former Dean of the Faculty of Music is one of the founding members of NEXUS.
The repertoires performed are The Invisible Proverb (comp. Russell Hartenberger); Moondog Suite (comp. Louis Hardin aka Moondog & arr. R. Hartenberger); Persian Songs (comp. Reza Ghassemi & arr. R. Hartenberger).
